In 1905, brothers Ernst and Otto Busch founded Busch & Co. in Düsseldorf, likely unaware that over a century later, their commitment to quality, innovation, and precision would still define the company. Their goal was to advance the young field of dentistry—at the time, Germany had just 500 practicing dentists—by producing superior instruments. The next two generations of the Busch family built on this foundation, driving innovation and shaping the development of rotary instrument technology, including the widespread adoption of carbide burs. That spirit of vision and innovation continues to guide us today.
