If the sliding caliper with its two measuring rods is inserted in the interproximal gap and opened in such a way that the measuring rods touch the respective root of the neighbor teeth, the maximum possible diameter of the future implant is shown on the marking IN. The upper marking OUT shows the determined outside dimension.
The new locating screw, at the end of the caliper, allows a fixation of the measured result. This practice-oriented development represents a significant relief with regard to a more precise, quick and secure work.
