German Engineering Quality
Manufactured in Germany, each cool diamant diamond dental bur reflects Busch & Co. GmbH's longstanding commitment to quality craftsmanship and dimensional accuracy.
German-made production standards ensure consistent grit distribution, secure diamond bonding, and reliable shank tolerances for use with standard FG high-speed handpieces.
Clinical Benefits
- Medium grit provides an effective balance between cutting speed and surface finish
- Inverted cone geometry supports controlled preparation of cavity floors and fissures
- FG shank compatible with standard high-speed turbine handpieces
- Consistent diamond bonding across the working surface for repeatable performance
- Convenient pack of 6 for multi-use clinical settings
Independent Research: Test Winner at Innsbruck
In an independent laboratory study at the Medical University of Innsbruck, Busch’s COOL DIAMANT design achieved the highest cutting performance in both test series — outperforming same-shape, same-grit diamonds from up to ten competing manufacturers. Under standardized conditions (200,000 rpm turbine, constant 152 g load, 10–40 minutes of continuous cutting on 99.5% Al₂O₃ ceramic), the COOL DIAMANT instrument removed significantly more material than burs from Diatech, Edenta, Horico and Komet (p < 0.05), and in the second series the standard Busch diamond placed second only to its cooling-groove sibling. The authors concluded that instruments with cooling grooves deliver higher grinding performance and need replacing less often.
