Composite placement instruments are specified by working-end geometry — condenser, plugger, spatula, knife — and by surface treatment, since composite adheres to untreated stainless and the anodised, titanium-nitride and CompoSMOOTH finishes exist to stop it dragging. The EASY CONTACT POINT instruments are shaped specifically for establishing proximal contacts in Class II preparations. Mouth mirrors are offered in front-surface and rhodium-coated versions, both of which eliminate the ghost image a plain-back mirror produces, with MEGA and micro diameters for wide-field and endodontic viewing respectively. Photography mirrors and retractors are grouped separately, as their finish and radius are optimised for imaging rather than intraoral work.
