Helmut Zepf develops instruments in direct collaboration with the clinicians who use them, and the collections below carry the name of the surgeon or specialist who specified the geometry. This matters more than it might appear: an instrument designed around a published technique embodies that technique's assumptions about flap design, approach angle and tissue handling. If you follow a particular protocol — Zuhr and Hürzeler's microsurgical plastic periodontal work, Kirsch's internal sinus elevation, Giesenhagen's bone ring augmentation, Rasner's extraction sequencing — the matching instrument set will feel correct in the hand in a way that a generic equivalent does not, because the working ends were ground to the angles that technique actually demands.
