Which Coarse Diamond Do You Need?

Start with the shape you prep with — round, cylinder, taper, torpedo, flame or wheel — then the head size; every FG diamond below is coarse grit (green ring). COOL DIAMANT instruments are the low-heat version of the same shapes, ZIRAMANT diamonds are made for zirconia. The collection is built on the "coarse grit" designation, so it also lists Busch coarse-cut carbide cutters, coarse polishers and a lathe wheel from the laboratory range.

Coarse (green ring) diamonds are the preparation workhorse for crown and bridge work: fast enamel reduction, occlusal and axial reduction and gross shaping before switching to a finer grit for margins and finishing. Care and Reconditioning
