Sharper Instruments, Less Hand Fatigue
Sharp curettes remove calculus with lighter strokes, which reduces operator fatigue and burnishing of calculus. Regular sharpening on a fine Arkansas stone keeps the original blade geometry and extends instrument life.
Using the Stone
Apply a few drops of sharpening oil, hold the stone at the correct angle to the instrument face and work with light, even strokes. Check the edge with an acrylic test stick and clean the stone after use. For a broader stone see the 110 x 25 mm version (24.916.10).
