Dr. Benno Syfrig Instrument Collection

The Dr. Benno Syfrig Instrument collection brings together innovative surgical tools developed through the expertise of one of implantology's most respected figures. Dr. Benno Syfrig is a world-renowned educator, coach, and consultant in Implantology and Oral Surgery, educated at the University of Zurich and the University of Basel.

About Dr. Benno Syfrig

Dr. Syfrig holds Fellow membership in the ITI (International Team for Implantology) and has maintained ITI Speaker Status since 2018. He is widely recognized for two landmark contributions to the field: the development and scientific evaluation of a minimally invasive surgical method for implantation in the maxillary sinus area — the sinus lift according to Benex (peer-reviewed publication: Zeitschrift für Zahnärztliche Implantologie, ZZI, 1/2010) — and the development and patenting of the Benex Extractor, an instrument for tissue-conserving tooth root extraction.

He is active in the ITI Study-Club of Central Switzerland and regularly conducts live-demo operations covering sinus lift, extraction, and soft tissue management for dentists and industry specialists. His professional memberships include:

  • Swiss Association for Oral Surgery and Stomatology (SSOS) — Senior Member
  • International Team for Implantology (ITI) — Fellow Member, Speaker Status
  • Swiss Society for Implantology (SGI)
  • Swiss Dental Association (SSO)
  • Lucerne Dental Association (LZG)

Study on Benex Extraction System

The Benex extraction system developed by Dr. Syfrig makes surgical extrusion a reliable, practical treatment option for many “unrestorable” non-molar teeth. It expands tooth preservation possibilities and should be considered alongside crown lengthening and orthodontic extrusion.

This study is particularly relevant for restorative and prosthodontic-focused practices using the Benex extraction system.
