Dr. Bernhard Giesenhagen Instrument Collection

The Dr. Bernhard Giesenhagen Instrument collection brings together the specialized surgical tools developed in collaboration with Helmut Zepf, reflecting decades of clinical expertise and innovation in implantology. Each Dr. Bernhard Giesenhagen Instrument in this collection has been shaped by real-world surgical demands, offering dental professionals precision-engineered solutions for complex implant procedures.

About Dr. Bernhard Giesenhagen

Dr. Bernhard Giesenhagen is a highly experienced German dentist and internationally recognized specialist in dental implantology. He studied dentistry at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, where he also worked as a scientific assistant in the Department of Prosthetics. After completing his training, he established his implant dentistry practice in Melsungen in 1980 and now leads a specialized implantology and dental surgery center in Kassel, Germany.

The Bone Ring Technique

Dr. Giesenhagen is best known as the originator of the bone ring technique, an innovative method for vertical bone augmentation that allows simultaneous bone reconstruction and implant placement. This technique, widely adopted internationally, has significantly advanced the field of implant surgery by reducing treatment time and improving outcomes for patients with complex bone defects. The instruments developed alongside this technique reflect that same commitment to clinical excellence.

Education and Professional Influence

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Giesenhagen has dedicated decades to professional education, founding the Pro Implant Institute and conducting workshops and courses for dentists worldwide. He has served as an honorary professor at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, lectures internationally, and continues to influence implantology through his surgical innovations, publications, and mentorship of dental professionals.

Collaboration with Helmut Zepf

Every Dr. Bernhard Giesenhagen Instrument featured in this collection is the result of his direct collaboration with Helmut Zepf. These instruments are designed to meet the exacting standards required in modern implant surgery, making them an essential addition to any specialist's armamentarium.
