About Prof. Dr. Gabriel Krastl
Prof. Dr. med. dent. Gabriel Krastl began his dental education at the University of Tübingen, where he studied from 1993 to 1998 and subsequently completed his doctorate. He then served as a scientific assistant and, from 2002, as senior physician at the Polyclinic for Conservative Dentistry at the University Hospital Tübingen. In 2005, he joined the Clinic for Periodontology, Endodontology, and Cariology at the University of Basel, Switzerland, where he co-founded the Basel Dental Accident Center alongside Prof. Dr. Andreas Filippi — an interdisciplinary trauma treatment and referral centre of international standing.
In 2012, Dr. Krastl completed a research year as Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the Department of Oral Surgery and Biomaterials Unit at the University of Birmingham, UK. In 2014, he was appointed Director of the Poliklinik für Zahnerhaltung und Parodontologie at the University Hospital of Würzburg, Germany, and subsequently established the Würzburg Dental Accident Center, further cementing his expertise in dental traumatology and advanced clinical care.
