Dr. Iman Mizani is a German-trained dentist and specialist in periodontology whose career spans clinical practice, academic research, and advanced periodontal medicine. He completed his dental studies at the University of Bonn and sat for the German State Dental Examination in 2004. Dr. Mizani pursued postgraduate training in the United States at Columbia, receiving an MS, and at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He earned a specialist qualification in periodontology in the United States in 2013, which was later recognized in Switzerland in 2017. Based in Le Mont-sur-Lausanne, Switzerland, he focuses his clinical work on the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease — the branch of dentistry concerned with gum health and the supporting structures of the teeth — applying evidence-based approaches to help patients maintain long-term oral health.

In addition to his clinical practice in Switzerland, Dr. Mizani has held a significant role in academic dentistry through his association with Columbia University in New York, USA, where he has worked at the College of Dental Medicine's Division of Periodontics.
