Warranty and Our Guarantee
Every Zepf extraction forceps carries a lifetime Helmut Zepf Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. And because a forceps can only be judged in the hand, you have 60 days to return it for any reason — even after you have used it. Try it on real extractions; if it is not the instrument for you, send it back.

Clinical Use
Per the product titles, the #321 forceps on this page are made for lower premolars, with far-reaching beaks.
-
Lower premolars; the #321 has far-reaching beaks: the beaks are shaped to seat below the cervical line and grip the root, not the crown.
-
Seat before you move: push the beaks apically to full contact with the root before applying any luxating movement; a forceps that grips only the crown breaks it.
-
Versions on this page: Xcision-Line® with standard or diamond-coated beaks (diamond coating gives a non-slip hold on smooth or fractured roots) and the Modified Roba-Edition by Dr. Manfred Beck (standard, diamond-coated, Onyx-coated).
-
Other Zepf forceps lines: the exLOG® editions, with tapered, deep-grip beaks, are listed in their own collections.
Care and Reconditioning

FAQ
What is a No. 321 forceps used for?
Lower premolars; the #321 has far-reaching beaks, per the product titles. The number identifies the beak and hinge geometry made for that tooth.
Serrated or diamond-coated?
Serrated beaks are the standard; diamond coating adds grip on smooth or fractured roots and lets you extract with less squeezing force.
What are the Roba and exLOG editions?
Zepf’s RoBa-Edition forceps, developed with dentist Beck, have patented beaks with a tapered outer contour for a deep grip and concave inner contours that fit the tooth. The exLOG RoBa Edition adds a joint that comes apart into two parts for cleaning.
Is there a warranty?
Lifetime on Zepf extraction forceps under the Helmut Zepf Warranty, and 60 days to return for any reason, even after use.
