Clinical Use of the GX4 Curette

Root instrumentation with the GX4 left and right inserts on the interchangeable handle system.
Control: keep a firm finger rest and use short, controlled strokes; these are hand instruments for precise work, not for force.
Sharpness: a dull edge crushes tissue instead of cutting it; check the edge before each case.

Interchangeable inserts fit the M4 × 0.5 mm and M2.5 Zepf handle systems (ZEPF-bIONIK QUICKFIX, Z-SHAPE Relax, ZEPF-Line) and change with the Zepf safety key.

Sharpening, Retipping and Inserts

An instrument earns its keep only while it is sharp. Zepf instruments can be sharpened in the practice, sent to our sharpening and reconditioning service, or, on the interchangeable-insert versions, renewed in seconds by swapping the working ends. Sharpening stones and oil are in the diagnostic range.
