The Mathieu Needle Holder is the workhorse ligature-tying instrument of the ZEPF Ortho Master line. Its palm-held spring handles and inner ratchet lock let clinicians grasp, twist, and release stainless steel ligature wire or elastomeric modules in one fluid motion — appointment after appointment.

Helmut Zepf manufactures the Mathieu pattern in two lengths (compact 14 cm and full-size 17 cm), two jaw widths (slim 2.0 mm fine tip and 2.8 mm wider design), and a very delicate model for micro-fine work. All feature the protected inner lock, cross-serrated jaws, and forged German stainless steel construction that define the OrthoMaster standard.
