Use a slim taper or small round head to clear the sulcus and shape the nail edge, and a small round bur to work into a corn. Busch notes that cone-shaped heads protect the nail wall. Keep speeds within the maximum printed on each pack; small heads tolerate higher speeds than large ones.
Care and Reprocessing
Clean, disinfect and sterilize Busch podiatry burs after every patient following Busch's reprocessing instructions and the symbols on each pack; use a bur stand so cutting edges never touch. Never exceed the maximum speed printed on the pack, and run larger heads slower than small ones, especially when working dry.
