Dr. Carsten Franke is a highly respected dentist and endodontic specialist based in Koblenz, Germany, known for his clinical excellence, depth of experience, and long-standing commitment to tooth-preserving dentistry. He has been consistently listed for several years in the well-known FOCUS ranking of the best endodontists in Germany. In recognition of his professional competence and experience, the Dental Association has officially authorized him to carry the designated focus of activity in endodontics. Due to his specialized expertise, many dental colleagues in Koblenz and the surrounding region regularly refer complex and challenging endodontic cases to his practice.
Dr. Franke grew up and was educated in Koblenz and completed his military service at the Bundeswehr Central Hospital in Koblenz. He studied both human medicine and dentistry at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen, receiving his license to practice dentistry in 1989. From 1989 to 1991, he was engaged in clinical and scientific work at the Center for Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine at the University of Giessen, within the Department of Restorative and Preventive Dentistry. After completing an assistantship in a quality-oriented dental practice in Koblenz, he established his own practice there in 1993. Since April 2008, he has practiced in partnership with dentist Roman Sattelberg, and since 2014, as part of the joint practice “dental-fit” together with Dr. Christoph Leopold and Roman Sattelberg.
With extensive postgraduate training in Germany and abroad, Dr. Franke has pursued advanced education across all areas of modern dentistry, with particular emphasis on endodontics, functional therapy, and aesthetic tooth preservation. Since 2002, he has specialized in endodontics and has been active as a referral-based clinician for endodontic treatments. He is a Certified Member of the German Society for Endodontics and Traumatology (DGET) and serves as Coordinator of the DGET Certified Members’ Study Group Cologne. In addition, he is a member of numerous professional societies, including the European Society of Endodontology (ESE), the Association of German Certified Endodontologists (VDZE e.V.), the German Society for Restorative Dentistry (DGZ), the German Society of Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine (DGZMK), and the German Society for Aesthetic Dentistry (DGÄZ).
