Clinical Use of the Modified Vienna Bone Chisel

Straight: for bone removal where the handle can sit in line with the cut.
Bayonet: the offset keeps the mallet strike clear of the teeth and lip in the posterior region.
Sizes: 2 mm for fine work, 3 and 4 mm for removing bone over impacted teeth.

Care and Reconditioning

Zepf surgical instruments are resharpened, re-aligned and reconditioned by our sharpening and reconditioning service when the working end dulls. Clean, disinfect and sterilize between patients.
