Why Choose the Cool Diamant Coarse Diamond Dental Bur?
The cool diamant coarse diamond dental bur is engineered in Germany to exacting standards, ensuring consistent performance across every procedure. The coarse grit configuration makes it well-suited for initial crown preparation where rapid, efficient tooth reduction is required. The torpedo shape provides access and angulation that supports precise marginal definition during restorative workflows.
German manufacturing heritage means that each instrument in this pack is held to rigorous quality tolerances, contributing to predictable clinical outcomes and reliable bur longevity. The green ring color coding follows standard industry convention, making instrument identification straightforward at chairside.

Independent Research: Test Winner at Innsbruck
In an independent laboratory study at the Medical University of Innsbruck, Busch’s COOL DIAMANT design achieved the highest cutting performance in both test series — outperforming same-shape, same-grit diamonds from up to ten competing manufacturers. Under standardized conditions (200,000 rpm turbine, constant 152 g load, 10–40 minutes of continuous cutting on 99.5% Al₂O₃ ceramic), the COOL DIAMANT instrument removed significantly more material than burs from Diatech, Edenta, Horico and Komet (p < 0.05), and in the second series the standard Busch diamond placed second only to its cooling-groove sibling. The authors concluded that instruments with cooling grooves deliver higher grinding performance and need replacing less often.
