Curette Insert, Langer 2L, Very Fine Tip, ZEPF NANOPAL Coating

The Langer Universal Curette Insert from Helmut Zepf GmbH is a precision dental instrument engineered for demanding subgingival debridement and periodontal scaling procedures. Designed to the Langer 2L pattern, this insert combines the cross-cutting versatility of the universal curette with a very fine tip geometry, allowing clinicians to access deep periodontal pockets and furcation areas with exceptional control.

ZEPF NANOPAL Coating

This Langer Universal Curette Insert features Helmut Zepf's proprietary NANOPAL coating technology. The NANOPAL surface treatment is applied at the nanoscale level, enhancing the instrument's durability, reducing friction during insertion, and promoting a smooth, controlled working stroke. The coating also contributes to improved corrosion resistance, supporting repeated sterilization cycles without compromising instrument integrity.

FAQ

What makes the Langer 2L pattern distinctive? The Langer 2L pattern features blade angles adapted from the Gracey curette family but designed for universal application, allowing use on multiple surfaces without changing instruments.

What is the benefit of the NANOPAL coating on this Langer Universal Curette Insert? The NANOPAL coating enhances surface smoothness, reduces friction, and improves corrosion resistance, extending the working life of the instrument through repeated sterilization cycles.

Is this insert compatible with standard handles? This insert is designed to be used with compatible curette handles; consult your supplier for specific handle compatibility details.

Design Notes

Nanopal® coating: the black crystalline nano-coating raises surface hardness to 4,500 Vickers — the highly tempered cutting edge stays aggressive and sharp far longer and does not need resharpening after each curettage, while the scratch-resistant black surface is easy to clean and prevents light reflections. Specifications: Zepf No. 24.751.102LFOX

The Langer 2L working end is a universal curette for mandibular posterior teeth, with a blade that adapts to both mesial and distal surfaces without changing inserts and a very fine tip for tight pockets and delicate root surfaces. The ZEPF NANOPAL coating gives a harder surface that holds its edge longer. Exchanging the insert renews the working end; the handle is retained.
