It shares its head geometry with the 166 021 RA but reaches further; Busch & Co. GmbH manufactures it in Germany.

The long RA shank is typically preferred when the operative site is deep or far posterior — for example distal to a second molar or in a deep osteotomy — because it moves the contra-angle head away from the tissue and improves visibility. Combined with the 2.1 mm head, this makes it suited to efficient bone removal where standard-length burs would be awkward to position.
