The Busch No. 21 016 – FG (US No. 60) is the widest of the friction-grip 21 straight fissure burs offered here, with a 1.6 mm (ISO 016) flat-end carbide cylinder head on an FG shank for high-speed turbine handpieces. Pack of 6, made in Germany by Busch & Co. GmbH; the same 1.6 mm head is also sold as 21 016 HP for laboratory straight handpieces.

Why choose the FG version

A 1.6 mm cylinder in a high-speed handpiece is typically chosen for larger preparations — broad Class II boxes, gross reduction, and cutting through existing amalgam or composite where a wider bur speeds the work. Its FG shank suits turbines and electric high-speed handpieces with water spray; for narrower, more conservative preparations see the 21 012 and 21 010 FG, and for bench-side laboratory use the HP version.

Also available: No. 21 012 – RA, No. 21 010 – FG, No. 21 010 – RA, No. 21 012 – FG, No. 21 016 – HP, No. 21R 014 – HP, No. 21R 014 – FG.
