The Expansion Screw 2.0 x 3.0 mm x 14.5 mm from Helmut Zepf GmbH (item no. 47.565.06) is the second size in the Bone Expander System. Used as a minimally invasive alternative to osteotomes, the helical spreader is threaded into the resorbed ridge to expand and condense cancellous bone in a controlled manner, giving higher primary stability for subsequent implant insertion.

This expansion screw (Ø 2.0 mm tip, Ø 3.0 mm maximum, 14.5 mm long) is threaded into a narrow ridge to expand and condense the bone around it, as a screw-driven alternative to malleted osteotomes. Each screw widens the site a step further than the previous one; the sequence stops at the implant diameter. It is the second size in the sequence.
