Gracey Curette, M5 Deep Scaling (GRA 11/12), for Mesial Surfaces of Premolars/Molars, Skewed for Optimal Placement - ZEPF-bIONIK Handle in Signal Purple with Nanopal Coating | Helmut Zepf No. 24.204.11GM5OX
The Gracey Curette M5 Deep Scaling instrument (GRA 11/12) is a precision-engineered periodontal curette designed specifically for mesial surfaces of premolars and molars. Its skewed blade geometry ensures optimal placement and angulation in challenging posterior areas, allowing clinicians to achieve thorough subgingival debridement with confidence.
Instrument Overview
This Gracey Curette features the ZEPF-bIONIK handle in Signal Purple, offering a visually distinctive and ergonomically refined grip that reduces hand fatigue during extended clinical procedures. The handle's design is engineered to provide optimal balance and tactile feedback, enabling precise control throughout scaling and root planing sequences.
ZEPF NANOPAL Coating
The instrument incorporates ZEPF's proprietary NANOPAL coating, applied to the working end to enhance surface smoothness and corrosion resistance. This advanced coating technology supports longevity and maintains edge integrity through repeated sterilization cycles, ensuring consistent clinical performance over time.

Design Notes
The M5 design: the first shank is about 3 mm longer than standard and the sharpened working end is shortened, with a 0.95 mm thin, flexible and therefore highly tactile first shaft — built for special subgingival curettage in tight, deep pockets (beyond 5 mm) and along narrow root surfaces. Manufacturer literature (PDF).
Nanopal® coating: the black crystalline nano-coating raises surface hardness to 4,500 Vickers — the highly tempered cutting edge stays aggressive and sharp far longer and does not need resharpening after each curettage, while the scratch-resistant black surface is easy to clean and prevents light reflections. Manufacturer literature (PDF).
Backed by our Helmut Zepf Warranty — lifetime on extraction and explantation forceps, one year on every other Zepf instrument. Full terms and how to make a claim are on the Warranty page.
