The Drill Ø 1.96 x 15 mm from Helmut Zepf GmbH (item no. 08.525.16) is the pilot drill for the Bone Expander System. It prepares the initial osteotomy in the resorbed ridge to the correct diameter for the first expansion screw (47.565.05, 1.8 x 2.5 mm), after which the helical spreaders are threaded in sequence to expand and condense the cancellous bone.
