Root Elevator for Axial Luxation - Straight, 2.5 mm, Heidbrink Mini Handle | Helmut Zepf No. 17.051.20
This axial luxation root elevator 2.5 mm combines the slim, straight blade of the Zepf axial luxation elevators with the compact Heidbrink mini handle. The short handle keeps the fingers close to the working end for fine, controlled movements in the periodontal ligament space.

Atraumatic Luxation
The 2.5 mm blade is introduced parallel to the root surface and advanced apically in small rotating movements, severing the periodontal fibres and widening the socket gently. Preserving the buccal plate this way is especially valuable when an immediate implant is planned.
Mini Handle Control
The Heidbrink mini handle gives a pen-like grip with excellent tactile feedback — ideal for anterior teeth, premolars and for clinicians who prefer a shorter instrument. The elevator is made in Germany by Helmut Zepf.

FAQ
What is axial luxation? A technique in which a thin blade is advanced along the root into the periodontal space to loosen the tooth with minimal lateral force and bone loss.
How does this differ from 17.006.0x? It has the same straight 2.5 mm luxation blade concept but on the shorter Heidbrink mini handle instead of the standard handle with thumb rest.
Is it autoclavable? Yes, it is stainless steel and suitable for steam sterilisation.
