Podiatry Burs for Callus & Corn Removal
Busch podiatry burs for callus and corn removal match the grit to the thickness of the hyperkeratosis. DiaTwister instruments in mega and super coarse grit take down thick and hard callus; standard diamonds in coarse and medium grit refine the area; small heads reach corns; and pink corundum stones smooth the skin afterward.

Clinical Use
Busch's grit guide: mega coarse for thick horn callus, super coarse for hard callus, coarse for incipient callus and coarse nail work, medium for callus and nail smoothing, and fine for delicate treatment of skin and nails. Choose a head size that covers the callus without touching healthy skin, keep the instrument moving and use light pressure. For corns, a small round or taper head lets you work precisely into the center.
Care and Reprocessing
Clean, disinfect and sterilize Busch podiatry burs after every patient following Busch's reprocessing instructions and the symbols on each pack; use a bur stand so cutting edges never touch. Never exceed the maximum speed printed on the pack, and run larger heads slower than small ones, especially when working dry. Our Bur Reprocessing & Sterilization Guide and Bur Speed Chart cover the workflow.

FAQ
Which grit should I start with on heavy callus?
Start with a mega coarse (two black rings) or super coarse (black ring) DiaTwister or diamond, then move to medium grit to smooth the area.
Can I use these wet or dry?
The DiaTwister's internal cooling slits are designed for wet or dry technique. FG turbine diamonds run only in turbines with cooling water.
Will these burs fit my podiatry drill?
Yes. HP burs have the standard 2.35 mm straight-handpiece shank that podiatry handpieces take. FG burs (marked FG) are friction-grip instruments for podiatry units with a turbine and cooling water.
Where are Busch podiatry burs made?
In Engelskirchen, Germany. Busch & Co., founded in 1905, makes every podiatry instrument there under ISO 13485 certification.
