Winter Elevator

The Winter (crossbar) elevator is made for delivering lower molar roots with the leverage of a T-shaped crossbar handle: the #11 and #12 are paired left and right, and the handle multiplies the force applied to the root. Helmut Zepf makes it in 4 versions, all in Germany, and every one on this page ships from our US warehouse.

Clinical Use of the Winter Elevator

• Lower molar roots: after sectioning, the tip is placed in the socket of the extracted root and the crossbar is turned toward the remaining root.
• Caution: the crossbar delivers considerable force; use it with a finger guard over the buccal plate and never on a whole tooth.

Care and Reconditioning

Zepf surgical instruments are resharpened, re-aligned and reconditioned by our sharpening and reconditioning service when the working end dulls. Clean, disinfect and sterilize between patients.

Warranty and Our Guarantee

And because an instrument can only be judged in the hand, you have 60 days to return it for any reason — even after you have used it.
