Why choose the RA-L version
A long RA shank is typically selected when the working site sits further posteriorly or deeper than a standard-length bur can comfortably reach — third-molar regions, deep osteotomy lines, or sites where the handpiece head would otherwise obstruct vision. It still runs in an ordinary latch contra-angle at low speed, so no additional handpiece is needed; you simply gain clearance between the head of the handpiece and the 1.6 mm cutting tip.
