Design Notes
The M5 design: the first shank is about 3 mm longer than standard and the sharpened working end is shortened, with a 0.95 mm thin, flexible and therefore highly tactile first shaft — built for special subgingival curettage in tight, deep pockets (beyond 5 mm) and along narrow root surfaces. Nanopal® coating: the black crystalline nano-coating raises surface hardness to 4,500 Vickers — the highly tempered cutting edge stays aggressive and sharp far longer and does not need resharpening after each curettage, while the scratch-resistant black surface is easy to clean and prevents light reflections.
