Dr. Steven Rasner is a highly accomplished general dentist and implant surgeon with over four decades of clinical excellence and a passion for advancing dental education.
After earning his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rutgers College, Dr. Rasner graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1980. He has completed more than 4,500 hours of continuing education, including over 1,000 hours specifically in oral surgical sciences. In 1997, he earned his Mastership from the Academy of General Dentistry and successfully completed the written portion of the AGD Board Certification the following year. He has also completed the full curriculum at the Misch International Implant Institute and the Pikos Institute Continuum, and in 2018 he achieved Diplomate status with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).
Dr. Rasner maintains active membership in several prestigious professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American College of Implantology, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the International Academy for Facial Esthetics.
A dedicated educator and practice management expert, Dr. Rasner founded Realizing the Dream in 1998, a comprehensive platform offering speaker services, books, training videos, and practice management resources designed to help dentists build more successful and fulfilling practices. In 2016, he established the Rasner Institute, an innovative hands-on training program that provides dentists with live-patient surgical experience in a supportive environment. The Institute focuses on meeting each participant at their current skill level to build confidence, competence, and long-term surgical proficiency.
Dr. Rasner is a prolific author whose work has appeared in more than 50 major dental publications, including Dental Economics, Dentistry Today, Contemporary Esthetics, The Profitable Dentist, and Australasian Dental Practice. As a highly sought-after speaker and lecturer, he has presented in 37 states and 4 countries. From 2005 through 2013, he was consistently named one of the Top 100 Clinical Educators by Dentistry Today.
